Intense pulsed light hair removal
system is a new and advanced, long-term depilation method.
A client sits or lies in a comfortable position, and
then a technician glides a wand-like tool, or handpiece,
over his or her skin. The handpiece emits a beam of
specially filtered light, which is absorbed by the hairs
and converted to heat.
A laser produces a beam of highly
concentrated light. The pigment located in the follicles
absorbs the light emitted by the laser. The laser pulses
for a fraction of a second, which is just long enough
to vaporize the pigment. This disables several follicles
at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair’s
regrowth. However, inactive follicles and those containing
minimal or no pigment are not adequately affected by
laser treatment.
Choosing the right depilation machine
is the most important step in the entire process of
laser depilation. We can help you match the correct
machine with the general criteria necessary for successful
usage and for each specific purpose.
You will want to go with a larger
beam size if you are working on large areas (to increase
efficiency). The MD-50 or MD-100 Diode laser machines
are perfectly suited for rapid and efficient permanent
laser depilation and can clear a woman's leg or a man's
back in just about 2 hours.
